Cistus ladanifer 

Used in perfumery as an effective replacement for Ambergris. 

Extracted from the resin using solvent extraction and has a very thick consistency.  Has a very strong aroma, with a  balsamic and sweet scent.  Blends well with Vetivert, Lavender, Olibanum, Cypress, Lavandin, Juniper berry, Oakmoss, Chamomile, Opopanax, Pine, Patchouli, Calamus, Sandalwood, and Bergamot oils.  

Commonly used in perfumes, mostly oriental perfumes.  Can be used for those suffering from congestion in the chest, bronchitis, asthma, and shallow breathing.   Aids with certain conditions such as acne, dry skin and ulcers.  Also has the ability to stop bleeding from cuts and wounds.  May be used to ward off bugs and insects.  

Labdanum Absolute has been used as a flavoring agent, has also been used in perfumes, incense, skin care products, massage oils, insecticide, bug spray, hair products, candles, soaps,  laundry, massage oils, sprays, cosmetics, flavoring agent, aromatherapy products, bath oils, and creams.
