Sea Buckthorn Berry Oil by Flora Aromatics is a rich, deep orange-red botanical oil cold pressed from the fleshy pulp of Hippophae rhamnoides berries. It is naturally concentrated in carotenoids, Omega-7 and other valuable fatty acids, making it especially suitable for facial, body and mature-skin care.
Naturally Rich in Carotenoids:
Sea Buckthorn fruit pulp oil contains approximately 350 mg/100 g carotenoids. These naturally occurring pigments, including beta-carotene (provitamin A), give the oil its characteristic intense orange-red color.
Vitamins & Nutrients:
Sea Buckthorn berries are naturally associated with Vitamin C, Vitamin E, beta-carotene (provitamin A), unsaturated fatty acids and essential amino acids.
Omega-7 & Fatty Acids:
The current batch analysis shows Palmitoleic Acid (Omega-7) at 36.4%. The oil also contains palmitic, oleic, linoleic (Omega-6), alpha-linolenic (Omega-3) and nervonic fatty acids.
Skin Care:
Especially valued for dry, mature and environmentally stressed skin. Its naturally rich lipid and carotenoid profile makes it suitable for facial oils, body oils, balms and after-sun skin-care preparations.
Processing:
Cold pressed at low controlled temperatures and fine filtered to remove solid particles. No chemical solvents, no high-heat extraction and no further chemical refining.
Color & Aroma:
Deep reddish-orange to dark orange with a naturally mild sweet, musky and earthy aroma.
